Volunteers needed and welcomed

Blindconnect is a totally volunteer-run organization.  There are a variety of volunteer opportunities to enrich yourself and the blindness community.

You may wish to:

serve on the Board of Directors
assist in the Blindconnect office
edit our newsletter ''EX-SIGHTED!"
join the effort to write and secure grants
maintain computer records
assist with marketing, PR efforts, mailings
help with special events and fundraisers
be a part of Phoneconnect (details under Programs)

What can you expect from your volunteer experience?

a sense of accomplishment in serving and underserved population
formal recognition for your service
training in job tasks and blindness issues
a volunteer manual delineating roles and responsibilities
a mentor to maximize your experience

Donate to support our efforts

Blindconnect is a 501(c)(3) non-profit; all donations are tax-deductible.

The organization relies on donations to maintain its services to blind and visually impaired adults in Clark County.  The organization is accredited by United Way of Southern Nevada, assuring our donors that we meet a high level of accountability and service.

You may designate Blindconnect in your United Way contribution.  Or you can donate directly to the organization and receive a tax credit.  You may donate directly to a program (see list) or to the organization as a whole.  Some individuals use Blindconnect as an In Memoriam recipient.  All donors are recognized in the quarterly newsletter and on this website.

Donations of any size, one time or on-going, are welcomed and appreciated.

If you know anyone who might benefit from Blindconnect's information, referral, and peer support, please make that connection.  Have them call us or bring them to our office.  It will be a true gift of friendship as you help to re-open the world to someone facing vision loss.
